Charity Sponsorship & Hero Runner Program

Charity Partner: Coming Soon

To maximize contributions to our charity partner, we're introducing the Hero Runner program — empowering runners to get directly involved in fundraising.

What's a Hero Runner?

A Hero Runner commits to raising at least $250, $500, or $750 in donations. After registration, you'll receive an email to set up your fundraising page. All donations must be received by October 26th so SWAG can be ordered.

Dogs

Dogs are welcome and must be securely leashed at all times. Dogs should be well-behaved and under control. Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their dogs.

Race Policies

Distance Changes

Runners may transfer to a lower or higher distance on or before Nov. 7th by contacting the Race Director or via UltraSignup. Upgrading distance incurs a pro-rata charge. No credit or refund for downgrading distance.

No Transfers

Race bibs are assigned to specific participants and may not be transferred, sold, or reproduced under any circumstance. Violations may result in disqualification and suspension from future Sanders Saunter events.

Dropping Distance on Race Day

50K runners who drop to the 25K will receive a 25K finisher award if available, but are not eligible for 25K podium awards.

No Deferrals or Refunds

Because our charity partner changes annually, we do not allow refunds, deferrals, or transfers.

DNS

If you can't attend, notify the Race Director at least seven days before the race or remove yourself on UltraSignup. No-shows without notice will be recorded as DNS.

Cancellation or Postponement

In the event of cancellation or postponement due to circumstances beyond the Lawrence Trail Hawks' control (pandemic, unsafe weather, local/state/national emergency), refunds will not be made.

Alternative Course

If authorities or trail stewards deem conditions unsafe or damaging, an alternative course will be provided pending approval by Clinton State Park and the Kansas Trails Council trail steward.
