This year we will be running in celebration of Peggy Beecher. Peggy was the Building/Pledge Manager for United Way of Douglas County. She enjoyed trail running, and was a proud member of Lawrence Trail Hawks. Most of all, she loved being a mother and spending time with family and friends. In honor of Peggy we will be partnering with The United Way of Douglas County The United Way - Our Mission is Simple: Address the human service needs of Douglas County by mobilizing community resources and building partnerships. Our Goals are Big: Advance the common good by creating opportunities for a better life for all. To do so, we focus on ensuring everyone achieves education, has access to health care and gets the tools and support they need to achieve self sufficiency, because these are the foundation of a good quality of life. When children succeed in school, families move from crisis to financial stability, each citizen has access to mental and physical health care, our entire community benefits. United Way is Seeing Greater Results: Through our collaborations with our many community partners for each Community Impact goal, we’re seeing innovative programs and initiatives develop and thrive that achieve greater results using a wide variety of resources.
Start times are staggered for each race - 50k start time: 7:00am 25K start time: 8:00am 10k Start time: 9:00am
Runners will receive a long sleeved race shirt, size only guaranteed if you register by October 31st, and a finisher medal
Top three male and female finishers in each race will receive a handcrafted award, by Matty Mullins Masters Awards for Male and Female in each race Chip Timing and personalized race bibs.
