The Lawrence Trail Hawks Board of Directors met Sunday, Nov. 2, at Bill Loats’ house.

Treasurer’s Report
The Treasurer reports club assets of $6,711.61 as of Nov. 2.
Annual Members Meeting
The Annual All-Hands Members Meeting is set for Saturday evening, Jan. 24, 6-9 p.m. in Community Room 1 at the Lawrence Community Center, 11th and Vermont in Lawrence. The meeting will be a potluck, and alcohol is permitted. Members are invited to submit proposed agenda items to the club secretary by Jan. 17. On the agenda is election of club officers for 2015.
2015 Elections
Members will elect a new board at the annual all-hands members meeting. Current President Sherrie Klover has notified the board she wishes to step down for 2015, in order to take on new duties as Co-RD for the Hawk with Justin Douglas. Sherrie says she is willing to remain on the board as V.P., pending the approval of the membership at the annual meeting.
Vice President Bill Loats has expressed willingness to take on the duty of president for 2015, pending approval of the membership.
The rest of the board has expressed willingness to remain in their current positions, pending approval of the membership. They are: Justin Douglas, Treasurer; and Gary Henry, Secretary.
Membership Director (Caroline Wroczynski) and Webmaster (Jeff Triplett) are president-appointed non-voting board members.
Members who would like to be considered as nominees for election to the board should submit their names to the club secretary, with a brief written statement of their qualifications and why they would like to serve.
Membership Director’s Report
The Membership Director reports current dues-paying members at about 120. Dues reminders and membership lists are now being sent quarterly, rather than monthly. Check e-mail for notices. Updated members list was e-mailed Oct. 31.
2015 Races and Schedule
Pi Day Pi Miler and Half Marathon – Saturday, March 14 Kansas River Trails. 3.14-mile Pi Miler begins 8 a.m, half marathon at 9. To volunteer, contact RD Caroline “Kobol Hawk” Wroczynski. Race will continue its pie-feast tradition, and will have finisher’s magnets again in 2015, along with other swag currently being worked on.
Shoreline Shuffle 5K – Saturday, May 2, Clinton Lake State Park.
Lunar Prep Night Run on the Levee, date in late June or early July TBD.
Trail Hawks Birthday Ass Trail Run for members and invited guests, Saturday, Aug. 15, Corps of Engineers Overlook Park, 7 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Hawk Hundred, 50 and 26.2-mile Trail Runs, Sept. 12-13. RDs are looking at chip timing and investigating certification as a Western States qualifier. RDs note that even with a possible 10-20 percent entry fee increase, the Hawk is still less expensive than any other comparable area race.
Halloween Prowl, Howl and Growl, Friday, Oct. 16 (tentative).
Sanders Saunter 10K and 25K, Saturday, Nov. 21.
Club T-shirts
Sherrie Klover is tackling the issue of Club T-shirts and hopes to have positive progress to report to the membership by the all-hands members meeting or before.
