I wanted to alert everyone to the inaugural TJ5K Trail Race on 11/16/13. This event is a benefit for [Tiny-K] (http://www.tinyk.org/aboutus.html), which works with special-needs children in Douglas county. The course is flat and fast, so it might be a good place to go for your PR!

Race is chip-timed!

Date: Saturday, November 16

Time: 9:00 A.M. (day of registration begins at 8).

Distances:

5k: $20 ($25 Race Day) 1 Mile Run/Walk:$15 ($20 Race Day) Tiny “k” kids run: FREE!

Start Location: Track on First Church of the Nazarene Grounds – 1470 N 1000 Rd – Lawrence, KS

Course Description:

90 acres at First Church of the Nazarene. Land is mostly flat and open (not a lot of timber). Will have to run over a couple of colverts. The race will start (about 100m) and end (400m) on a track. This is a very family oriented event. Will have activities for kids. Bud Stallworth, former KU basketball player, will be our celebrity race starter.
