Attendees: Cara Combs, Lori Moriarty, David Barfield, Mike Miley, Mary Ann Frevert, Laurie Euler, Megan Moriarty, Josh McVey, Eric Deeter, Todd Chandler

EVENT/RACE RECAP

Pi Day River Rotation (3/9):

Attendance: 115 runners (1 Answer to Everything, 5 Ultra Pi Slammers, 12 Pi Slammers, 8 Marathoners, 32 Half Marathoners, 56 Pi Milers)

Volunteers: 11, additional support from runners post-race

Finances: $6,972 in registration fees; expenses exceeded by $3,000. Garmin now covers half the race entry fee

Improvement Strategies: Reduce runner projections, seek donations, increase race fees ($5 on Pi Miler and $10 on the others), eliminate dates on SWAG, sell remaining mittens at cold weather races (Sanders and Cactus)

UPCOMING EVENTS

Skyline Shuffle (5/5): 9 AM, West Park Road Aid Station. Course marking on Bunker Hill and potentially other areas if conditions are dry. Todd to promote via Facebook

Night Hawk (6/29): SWAG now an extra cost; sign-ups include 21 for the 50k, 5 for the 20 miler, and 17 for the 10 miler

The Snake (7/20): Registration moved to Run Sign Up, 6 runners registered, featuring embroidered hats as SWAG

The Hawk (9/7): 13 registered for 100m, 1 for 75m, 11 for 50m, and 13 for the marathon

Shoreline Shuffle (10/5): Laurie Euler to co-direct with Megan

Sanders Saunter (11/2): Partnering with Falling Forward Foundation. Permits and insurance secured. Hero registration levels proposed: $750, $500, $250

GROUP RUNS

Saturday Mornings: Gaining momentum; update website accordingly. The URL listed on the trailhead sign (Facebook.com/clintontrails) no longer valid; Todd to investigate and redirect

POSITION UPDATES

Quartermaster: Mike Miley appointed

Secretary: Position remains open

MEMBERSHIP OUTREACH BRAINSTORM

Promote at running stores and collaborate with local running groups

Engage with Sports Pavilion, KU, Climb Lawrence

Cross-promote on social accounts

Implement “bring-a-friend” incentives

Encourage members to refer friends
